Our mission is to make learning easy and fun for you!

Allied Veterinary Professional CPD (AVPCPD) was developed by Allied Veterinary Professionals, for Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Technologists and Animal Healthcare Professionals. In other words - all Allied Veterinary Professionals (AVPs).

We saw that there was very limited CPD and training available, that was both easy to access and an affordable price, once AVPs were out working in practice.

We wanted to change that. 

We know that training budgets in the animal healthcare sector are often pretty limited, so we've also tried to make our pricing as lean and mean as we can. We're still building up our library of courses available for you, and we have a huuuge amount of ideas for the future.

How our courses work

Our courses are set at three levels - we have creatively called these Level One, Level Two and Level Three.

Level One courses will suit you if you have done some study, maybe the equivalent of an NZQA Level 3 Animal Care course, or maybe the first year of a Veterinary Nursing course. Some material will be a bit of a refresher for you, and there will also be a bit of information there that will be new learning. 

Our Level Two courses are the next step up. If you have completed some formal study such as the first year of Veterinary Nursing, or an NZQA Level 4 Animal Care course, this would suit you. There is a bit more new or more complex material included in these courses.

Level Three courses are for you if you're an AVPs in practice - a Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician. These courses will extend your knowledge and can be used to gain CPD points/hours to maintain your registration with the Allied Veterinary Professional Regulatory Council (AVPRC). 

With all our courses, you have access to all the material as soon as you have bought the course. No drip-feeding, no waiting around. This means you can work at your own pace, and with  access to the course for a whole year, you can work through the material when it suits you.

Kristina Naden

Founder, Course Leader
I’m Kristina, the founder of AVPCPD. My objective is to simplify your learning, and make it achievable and fun for you. Our courses are set up with bite-sized chunks of information so that you can dip in and out of a course and learn in bite-sized chunks. And best of all, when you buy a course you have access to it for 12 months - giving you the flexibility to learn when it suits you.
