Courses
Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
Browse through our list of courses, and once you have purchased a course, you will gain access to all the learning materials. These could include videos, audio clips, text to read, and even free templates that you can download and use right away in your workplace.
Who will be teaching me?
Our course leaders are all super experienced teachers, and experts in their areas. They have been specifically chosen to deliver courses for AVPCPD because they are passionate about both teaching and learning, and also about the topic they are talking about.
How long will a course take?
Most of our courses can be completed between one to four hours. However you have access to each course for 365 days, which means that you can go back over material any time you like in that time. It means that you really can learn at your own pace, and at a time that suits you.
Are there tests?
Each course has a self-assessment at the end for you to complete. These are all optional, however we strongly recommend you complete these, to ensure you have understood the material. If you are registered (for example with the Allied Veterinary Professional Regulatory Council), these courses can count towards your required CPD.
How hard are the courses?
Our courses are set at Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 - you'll see the level on the front page for each course.
With each type of course, you still have 365 days to work through it, so if some of the material is a bit more challenging, we recommend you slow your learning pace a little to spend more time on that topic.
- Level 1 courses are more at a foundation level, and are designed for people who have done some formal education in animal healthcare.
- Level 2 courses are designed for people working in practice who want to brush up on knowledge and extend that a bit further.
- Level 3 courses are more advanced, and designed to extend your knowledge.
With each type of course, you still have 365 days to work through it, so if some of the material is a bit more challenging, we recommend you slow your learning pace a little to spend more time on that topic.
What support do you offer?
Once you have purchased a course, you will be added to our Facebook page exclusively for our learners. You will be able to post questions here, and even suggest ideas for new courses. Learning is not a solo sport, and we encourage our learners to share tips and tricks they have come across, in case they are useful for others.
