This course begins with an overview of the skeletal system and a recap of some common terminology used to describe parts of bones.
To see what these parts look like in real life, we then delve into examining some real bones, with more than a dozen videos looking at the features of specific bones. We also review the case of a cat with a fractured pelvis, and examine how bone heals following this kind of injury.
Because not all animals are made equal, we compare some species differences, looking at cats, sheep, cattle, and horses.
